Fishtail Racquet

1917 - A prominent innovation around the turn of the century, the fishtail was an attractive gimmick for the average player who was struggling with the art of playing the various shots. Manufactured approximately from the 1890's to the 1920's , their shapely handle always attracts a collector, simply because there are  fewer of them.  The overall quality, and the variety of the makers logo, drive some prices through the roof. The actual shape of the fishtail can  also vary a bit, which adds some more value.
