Its been an absolute pleasure and privilage to put together, after months of searching for a site, the TiNY Tennis Museum in a city like Charleston. And, thank you for all the family support and friendly visitations to date. It's been a couple plus months, with weeks of prepping the gallery and choosing the pieces for framing. Deciding on items in my collection either from the walls at home, or in a forgotten storage box. The 150 pieces on display, half racquets and half imagery, have been a joy to "find" again. It's been years since my last "on-site" exhibit, the last, in 2013 here in Charleston at the then Family Circle Cup.
There is nothing more rewarding to a collector to know every morning there will be people eyeing the various collectibles on display, and then having a fresh opportunity to discuss the pieces and their historic relevance. (all included in the free tour!) The new TiNY page on this site is just what I wanted. Its simple yet elegant, and takes the viewer around the exhibit and highlights the fun and fragility of only having about a year to make your case!
So, please come by for a visit! sign our guest book. For we are hoping for a "second act" sometime in 2026 after the awareness has been highlighted for this fabulous "display oriented" collection. And then, to have it's due in a tourist & tennis community, like Charleston, as a legitimate "destination" for the tennis fan. Follow our social media and drop us a comment, along with a "follow". On the TiNY's Instagram page there is a wealth of imagery to convey the Driftway Collection's international journeys over some 45 years.
If You Love Tennis... Love the History", is my new mantra.
